Virginia Reed joined King Hall LLC as an associate in 2017. Her practice areas include estate planning and guardianship law. She has extensive experience in guardianship matters and has been appointed counsel in over two hundred guardianship cases. Ms. Reed has also taught guardianship training seminars for Maryland attorneys.
Aside from her work assisting vulnerable adults in guardianship matters, Ms. Reed has focused her practice on assisting other disadvantaged members of the community. She has represented clients against debt collectors at numerous consumer protection clinics, and volunteers at area criminal expungement clinics. Ms. Reed also frequently works as Court Appointed Counsel to represent criminal defendants at bail review hearings. As a member of the Baltimore County Pro Bono Committee, Ms. Reed has facilitated several county-wide clinics offering free legal services in trusts and estates matters, guardianship matters, and criminal matters. She has also volunteered at clinics with the Pro Bono Resource Center, drafting wills, advance medical directives, and power of attorney documents at no cost to clinic attendees.
Ms. Reed received her undergraduate degree in English from Rutgers University. After serving on the Baltimore County Police Department, she graduated cum laude and the University of Baltimore School of Law. Currently, Ms. Reed is the chair of the Baltimore County Pro Bono Committee.
